First Extensor Compartment

De Quervains disease is a tenosynovitis of the 1st dorsal compartment of the wrist. This is an osteofacial compartment, which contains the tendons of EPB (Extensor Pollicis Brevis) and APL (Abductor Pollicis Longus).
